Fall 2020 Roster
Kristen Clement
New Orleans, LA
Senior, Biology (not pre-med)
5 semesters with SLU Crew
Kristen is the head coxswain and this year's proud president of SLU Crew. She joined rowing in search of a team to be a part of on campus and found a family along the way. Before joining, Kristen believed 6 am practice was an unimaginable wake up time, but she was hooked after her first practice! While she's not losing her voice in the cox seat, Kristen is probably in the lab researching bacteria, talking about microbiology, or hanging with crew buddies!
Skye Kusler
Arlington Heights, IL
Sophomore, Biology (Pre-Med) with a Minor in French
1 semester with SLU Crew
Skye has always loved the water and swam through high school, yet because Nebraska isn’t exactly known for its water sources she was introduced to rowing when coming to SLU. She loves music of all types so when she's rowing Skye is probably just singing songs in her head (have a mental playlist going at all times), yet if she's not on the erg you might catch her humming at all the wrong times and in all the wrong places.
Ryan Laughlin
Naperville, IL
Junior, Public Health and Health Management with a Minor in Psychology and Spanish
3 semesters with SLU Crew
Outside of crew, Ryan can be found on the golf course, ordering a Chipotle burrito, volunteering in his parish, or cramming for his upcoming exams in Pius library. He enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, fishing, or any other athletic pastime outdoors. Ryan also sculls during the summer in Chicago and is looking forward to racing at Head of the Hooch this fall.
Lauren Fox
Chanhassen, MN
Sophomore, Neuroscience and Spanish
2 semesters with SLU Crew
Lauren comes from an active background, competing in volleyball and track throughout high school. Yet, having grown up in Minnesota, Lauren has always been at home on the water. What better sport for her than one where she turns her favorite activity into a workout? On the rare occasion that she is not with the team, she can be found working at Chaifetz, singing in the church choir, or taking a fat nap, especially after those 6 am erg sessions.
Camron Morrissey
Louisville, KY
Junior, Nursing
2 semesters with SLU Crew
Camron started mid-January after going to the activities fair and thinking, “Yeah, why not join?” SLU Crew has introduced him to a much more active life, as he picked up boxing after joining the team. Camron has had an absolutely amazing time getting to know the sport and everyone on the team!

Dina Kacila
Wilmette, IL
Sophomore, Finance
4 semesters with SLU Crew
The only thing Dina loves more than 6 am erg practices is her teammates. Outside of the boat you can find her falling asleep faster than you can say “in two,” it’s a speciality of hers. Dina is also a sucker for chick flicks. Movie night anyone?
Tracey Kulaga
Woodridge, IL
Sophomore, Physical Therapy and Psychology
4 semesters with SLU Crew
Tracey “I have no iron” Kulaga. She’s about as coordinated as a gas station tube man, and if you see her on an erg, she’s probably thinking about spaghetti, the next time she can take a nap, or that dog she saw on campus last week. If not rowing, you can either find her in the shower singing too loud, bundled up somewhere complaining that she’s freezing, or on the floor laughing too hard at her own (probably not that funny) jokes.

Ben Young(er)
New Orleans, LA
Sophomore, Aerospace Engineering
2 semesters with SLU Crew
No, you aren’t seeing double, there is another Ben Young. We just call this one Younger. If you ever spot someone in a boat distracted by the Creve Coeur fish it’s probably Younger. When he’s not staring off into space while rowing, you can probably find him working on SLU’s newest rocket or studying to become the next Elon Musk somewhere in McDonnell Douglas Hall.
Austin Krohn
Dallas, TX
Senior, Biomedical Engineering with Minors in Engineering Mathematics and Biology
5 semesters with SLU Crew
Austin has really enjoyed rowing these past three years with all of the rowers on the Crew team! He has absolutely loved meeting people from different majors, backgrounds, and cities across the country. Some of his best friends are on the rowing team, like his current roommate. Austin also does activities outside of the boat. He is a researcher in one of the biomedical engineering labs (Dr. Case), VP of Finance for the Jewish Student Association, VP of Finance for Campus Kitchen and shift leader. Additionally, Austin teaches the CPR or Lifeguard classes at the Simon Recreation Center, and tries to expand his horizons by cooking his own food for fun!
